Overview:

The Alpha Ceti system is a bleak location, unassuming from the point of view of some. However this fair system harbours the joint technoligical and military base between the USM and the Union of Worlds. Set up after the USM contacted the Union regarding Nakai ruins the Union immediately set up outposts to help uncover and study them, agreeing to a joint effort with the Minevans Alpha Ceti soon grew into a sprawling military and R&D base. shrouded in secrecy its name became a byword for secrecy in both the USM and Union with such slang as 'Where the hell are my leave papers I sent them off a month ago' 'I dont know but I bet their somewhere stashed in Alpha Ceti'. Unfortunately leaked intel by USM Sepratist sources to Capitol were met with massive intrest by Inara who prepped a large invasion force, working alongside the Justicars due to their newly found treaty Inara knew such technology could easily turn the tide of the coming war in her favour. The opening move of the 2nd Ancerious war was the invasion of Alpha Ceti, with the invasions of Mirach and Histirion following hot on its tail. Now the allied forces aided by the Kalaedans fight to defend not only their military base but the technological wonders encased within.

Outcome:

The Battle of Alpha Ceti while still raging on the ground is over in space. The allied forces were all but routed or destroyed by the APP fleet. With the Union escpaing with a mere 102 ships of its once 750 ship total and the entire destruction of the Kalaedan fleet, only the USM fleet managed to keep itself partly together, with around 300 ships left give or take. With the APP fleet crushing the allied forces in a pincer movement the Kalaedans chose to go down in glory, sacrificing themselves to allow the other fleets to escape, however in the fighting the allied forces managed to reduce the Capitol super dreadnought to a blazing hulk, sadly their Grand Admiral survived. With such a huge blow to the allied forces Alpha Ceti now stands alone against the APP invasion.
