Overview:

Located in ZYPHER space the Manai system rapidly came under attack by the System and the Voleant swarm, caused by a small series of running skirmishes between multiple factions in the Veronis Cascade region the conflict escalated into full blown war. With Manai so rapidly engaged its defensive emplacements and small fleet quickly fell pray to the FTL weapons and drone swarms of the invaders, with the worlds coming under bombardment and the situation growing desperate ZYPHER quickly called for help. In the Fallsword system many empires which had either also fought in skirmishes against the System or Voleant or just allies of those already helping rallied to assist ZYPHER, The Echo and Dirge had already fought the Voleant and System and wished revenge, while Alfur and the Avilun had ties to ZYPHER and agreed to aid in the defense, with the Ye'Tule also seeking to stop the Systems advance and the Union called in by the Avilun to help stabilize the region the allied fleet soon jumped to Manai. After a series of losses by enemy drone swarms and FTL missiles the allied fleet quickly set about moving to engage, using long range missile barrages and anti orbital fire from the remaining emplacements the System fleet too casualties and deeming along with the Voleant they were outgunned withdrew from the system. However the Voleant had seeded the planets in system, and the allies soon began to clean the worlds of Voleant taint.

Outcome:

With the Manai system heavily hit, and the Voleant-System fleets withdrawal Manai was technically a victory in repelling the enemy forces. However with such damage caused and the Voleant taint and infection on Manai 1,4 and 7 the allied forces begin the task of scouring those worlds, while ZYPHER took a heavy blow in regards to the planetary losses and with so few ship losses either side both sides could consider their actions in bringing about strategic victories. However with the System-Voleant driven out of system Manai can be seen as a victory for the allied forces.
