Union Department for Education and Culture:

One of the most important Departments of the Union of Worlds the Education and Culture department is responsible for all matters relating the education of the Unions civilians as well as overseeing the various race cultures integrated safely into the Unions multi cultured society. Though divided into multiple smaller departments this department does a lot of work both with minors of the races and the teaching thereof, as well as with other races who have different cultures to that of humanity and the Union as a whole. Of course when a race joins the Union their culture will be assimilated into the collective, as much of the original culture is kept as possible apart from any religions or 'problematic' culture practices such as sacrifice or parts which would bring conflict or hate to the Union. Because of this the department is very busy trying to integrate those wishing to join into the Union as well as keeping the existing cultures intact.

Sub Departments: 

Education Department: This department is incredibly important and oversees the teaching and education of the entire Union of Worlds. From children starting their learning process to adults who wish to study new trades or information this department insures that all education is up to standard and in keeping with the Union of Worlds principles. The Department for Education also has a lot of ties with the research and development Department with students going off to learn in that department, however truth be told the Education section has ties with all departments and jobs, as the students wish to experience and see what future jobs are like. This department is also in charge of early childhood development and working with parents to see that their children get the best education and upbringing, as well as seeing to any personel needs or special equipment the child or individual may require.

Culture Department: This department is the one that specialises in the integration and study of both domestic and foreign cultures. Within this is also the propaganda ministry and various other smaller areas. While the department looks after the Unions own domestic culture it helps and converses with other nations on how to adapt and integrate their own culture into the Union. This department was first set up between the Humans and the Cylaurians after the civil war, to help allow the two species to co-exist.
