Union Rifle Companies are less common than the mechanized rifle companies but are no less important. these companies are generally used in static defense or follow up attacks which do not require speed. using defensive tactics these companies can hold positions from enemy advances and thanks to the company commander each element of the company works in tandem to ensure maximum usage and complementing of the different strengths and weaknesses.
Company Command Team: led by a stalwart veteran defensive commander he leads his squad and his company to victory, commonly fighting on the front lines surrounded by his general staff, the better to survey the battlefield. This squad also has a cascade cannon for heavy anti infantry support.
Company sniper: a lone figure midst the company the sniper is generally a loner, but deadly none the less. his job is to eliminate the enemy command one element at a time, this or to break enemy squads and pin them giving advantages to the other elements of the company.
Light Artillery detachment: this takes the form of a mortar team designed to give close anti infantry support to the front line, these mortars can fire a number of rounds from HE to incendiary. heavy artillery is generally provided by behind lines batteries.
Air defense detachment: Usually the Viper AA tank though these can sometimes be Hellfires instead the Air detachments of the mechanized rifle companies are there to deter air attack and destroy any air threat if one appears. These vehicles are also in the thick of the fighting and have been known to employ their quad cascade cannons against infantry formations or light vehicles, the apocalyptic barrage of bullets easily mowing down infantry and tearing apart light tanks.
Skia Detachment: the Shadows provide close combat capabilities to the entire formation and these 3 Skia are used for clearing fortifications, destroying enemy vehicles and mainly for taking out enemy threats to the company, their abilities being somewhat destructive to the enemy.
Hawk assault team: usually one squad of Assault veterans are assigned to the company to provide close combat potential at a fast pace, usually kept in reserve until the time is right a good commander can turn the tide by either assaulting an enemy weak point or reinforcing his own, either way a good complement to the very range orientated company.
Recon element: consisting of 2 rapier hover tanks and a mounted infantry squad in a Whirlwind APC they scout for the company and can provide fast attack to the static company defense attacking or bolstering the line.
Heavy Anti Tank team: 3 180mm railguns provide huge AT capabilities to the company, able to crack enemy vehicles with next to no effort these provide long range fire support as well.
Infantry platoons: consisting of platoon and squad command squads, as well as the brave men and women of the Union these squads stand bulkward against the Unions enemies and provide it with its defense. able to provide many roles it is mainly defense, each squad also is given a cascade cannon for anti infantry defense and 3 anti tank teams per platoon rovide AT with their Guardian ML.
