Fall of Metropolis

Fall of Metropolis:

The Unnamed forever in their quest for new ways to achieve their goals discovered the greatest gem of creation in their minds, the Kingdom of Metropolis Heart Machine, a sentient machine transcending time and space and capable of rewriting such. For the Unnamed this was their holy grail, they could re sculpt the universe to how it was in ancient days, remove the blight of inquisitive life from the galaxy and finally live in peace, and so they put their plans forward, infiltrating the Kingdom with their agents and technology. It was no easy task, Metropolis was a beacon of technology and accomplishment and the Unnamed suffered many set backs and defeats in their plans but eventually they finally reached the apex of their plan. They attempted to subvert the Heart Machine, as they threw the Kingdom itself into chaos and war the Unnamed and all their capability battled with the sentient machine, alas the Unnamed were arrogant and the Heart machine was far above what even they were capable of. The Unnamed were defeated, however to stop future attacks the sentient machine cut its connection to the galaxy, better to cut itself off and sacrifice a tiny portion of the Kingdom than to risk the fate of time and space. With the machine gone, Metropolis quickly fell apart, its technology and more ceased to function and the Unnamed in their rage fell upon the remnants to exterminate them, as they had lost vast quantities of their assets and capabilities in the galaxy. It was no easy fight, the Kingdom fought back as best it could and made the secretive aliens bleed hard for each life taken, but in the end it was a desperate last act. With the Unnamed withdrawal the Kingdoms allies rushed to find out what had transpired but found nothing but haunted ruins in its wake.
