Nakai Ur'Acle Library Ship

Ur'Acle Nakai Library Ship/Dreadstar:


Overview: The Ur'Acle class vessels were not typical warships of the Nakai fleet, measuring near 150km in length they were huge by comparison to other vessels and despite their immense fleet crushing power were not front line warships. The Ur'Acles were designed to house the sum knowledge of the Geinocracy in their frames, whether in specialist Athenite data banks kept within pocket dimensions or on the very event horizons of captured and contained black holes the Ur'Acles acted as the linchpins in the Nakai vast data network, and were the hubs of the information section of the Ikarian Labyrinth. There were at the height of the Nakai around 12 Ur'Acle class vessels each one protected by vast fleets and their very own Judge tasked with defending them at all costs the Ur'Acles themselves were also capable of conventional defense with enough armament and defenses to easily take on numberless fleets of lesser races, while these vessels could have been used to clear entire sectors with their power they were kept back, during the Age of Giants the Ur'Acles survived the initial wave of cyber and quantum attacks keeping their data intact and allowing the Nakai to keep on fighting despite the loss of their core worlds. However the number declined as the war progressed, with some destroyed by the Dar'Kanian in colossal raids or others being corrupted by Dar'Kanian influenced. It was however the GCFs Spring Offensive that finally brought them down, the combined cyber attacks of thousands of factions finally broke down the firewalls of the library vessels wiping their data banks clean and causing them to either self destruct or to be helpless against the GCFs own assaults against them. Crippled in this way the Nakai lashed out in response, crushing the GCF once and for all but in the process leaving themselves open to destruction by the Dar'Kanian. It is rumored that one or two Ur'Acle classes survived however where and in what state remains to be seen.


Armament: The Ur'Acle while built as a library vessel is more than capable of annihilating whatever it fights against. With its hull capable of producing Quantum Firebolts and backed up by thousands QAC cannons for its secondary weapons the Ur'Acle with this alone can wipe out tens of thousands of opponents with ease. However it also mounts 6 heavy Strangelet Missile launchers and thousands of Spearhead Drone launcher arrays.

Quantum Accelerator Cannons: Often also called 'Singularity cannons' the QAC cannon draws power directly from the Singularity core, where it can itself induce a gravitational singularity, firing it using momentously powerful magnetic fields the shot takes the form of a trailing golden bolt. This shot can theoretically destroy whatever it hits and is referred to as a 'Kugleblitz' in astrophysics, all armour types buckle under its gravitonal impact and essentially tears the enemy vessel apart not to mention completely melts anything it touches, however the Singularity is very short lived and so typically explodes with phenomenal energy blowing the already twisted and half devoured ship to atoms or less than such. This mode can easily also break apart a planet in a single volley and so hense such weapons are not used often. However they can be used in two other methods. First is to stretch the singularity or 'kugelblitz' into a thin beam allowing the Cruiser to cut or shear entire sections of an enemy ship apart dissecting it to aid in taking it intact. And the third being that instead of forming a singularity the QAC guns can take dumped energy from the core and fire it in a very powerful directed energy beam to give intense fire support on the ground.

Spearhead drones: Spearhead drones are an artificially created weapon used from energy to matter conversions inside the launch arrays. They are roughly around 10ft in length and around 4ft wide. And are a very hardy sensor and guidance system surrounded by what is essentially raw energy in the form of a super heated plasma. When fired they launch out the ship and are guided by the ships AI system or the captain but can work completely independently on their own. Capable of out flying enemy attack craft or missiles they can be used to destroy such fast craft as the plasma temperature will quickly overload shields and melt through the hull destroying the craft. However the drone can then go on to hit another target, until it either runs out of energy or destroys itself releasing all its energy in a single explosion. These drones can make multiple passes on ships and while able to be shot down or destroyed by powerful CIWS systems prove to be very hard to take down or stop once they get inside the ship. Drones will often target the enemy ships reactor or critical systems before making second or third passes to cripple a vessel or detonate inside the reactor or bridge to outright take down the vessel. When drones are destroyed the Or'Keres class merely creates new ones. 

Quantum Firebolts: Quantum Firebolts are a weapon that uses the Or'Keres class carriers very own hull of Athena plate to store, channel and then finally direct energy from the singularity core. Giving the cruiser all round defence and capability to fire from any point on its hull in rapid fire succession. These bolts while nowhere near on par with the QAC cannons contain so much energy that they can easily overload or punch through shields and explode on contact with the hull tearing battleship size vessels apart with but one or two blasts. 

Strangelet Missiles: Typically unique to the Or'Keres class Strangelet missiles are produced through high energy reactions within the ship and then launched in a protective shield at enemy vessels, both at point blank or ultra long ranges. These missiles are 'bolts' of Strange matter, sheathed in the shield they can be steered to their target causing almost total destruction upon impact. Due to the nature of Strange matter the bolt will consume and convert the enemy ship into yet more strange matter, rendering hull armour and particulate shields totally ineffective, the short life of the strange matter meaning it soon collapses into radiation. 

Defences: 

Armour: The Ur'Acle class Library ship is made out of an undetermined thickness of Athena plate. Athena plate is a semi sentient metaphasic material that for all intents and purposes defies comprehension by being manipulated at the D brane level. Even less than a mm thick of it can withstand practically any amount of energy and only phasic weapons seem to be able to damage it in any real way, not bypassing it as normal but affecting it like normal weapons fire on armour. Even then Athena plate is capable of self repair, and as the substance glows passively with light when repairing it is almost blinding to look at. The Nakai are able to manipulate Athena plate and craft it into their ships and beautiful architecture, how they do so is unknown but the symbols on their ships are Nakai language, often depicting the epic deeds the ship has done in battle or telling of verses from Nakai history.

Shields: The Ur'Acle class also has 42 shield generators, these generators take the form of the wing sets on the back of the ship and are found on virtually all Nakai units or technology. Each shield is capable of withstanding intense super nova level energy blasts keeping the ship intact and if one fails the others will take its place while it recharges. These shields are almost totally phasic, meaning any means of bypassing them through other dimensions or shield destruction technology will simple effect the shield like any normal weapons fire. In an emergency situation or commonly done by hot headed Nakai Captains a shield can be 'overloaded' from the Singularity and blown off in a 360 degree energy wave, capable of destroying enemy ships surrounding the vessel at close to medium range. 

Back up measures: The Ur'Acle also has a secondary back up shield in case its main generators go offline. Capable of reading and detecting incoming weapons fire the ship can actually modulate the gravity close to the hull in order to create a micro event horizon for a brief second. Creating these in front of the incoming projectile or energy bolt will intercept it preventing its impact and converting the energy back into the Nakai vessel to help recharge its own shields. However phasic weapons and the like can bypass this and so it is only used as a last defence measure. 

CIWS: The Ur'Acle relies on its Spearhead drones and Quantum Firebolts to provide CIWS fire if it is needed, delegating drones and portions of energy to fire smaller bolts to intercept fighters, with its powerful mind link AI able to predict the best firing solutions even for impossibly fast craft.

Power plant: The Ur'Acle uses a Nakai singular Heavy Quantum Core which harnesses the power of multiple naked singularites. This output is truly titanic and can power the ship forever as there is no need to refuel. At the moment of construction for the ship the core is given the necessary components and fuel in order to collapse space time inside itself to create the singularity artificially. The energy from the singularity is so powerful a special wireless energy relay had to be produced to bring the energy into a stable usable form. For if this energy was used straight away into say the QAC cannons the guns would overload and the energy would escape, turning the ship to atoms even with its incredible defences. The Reactor is also able to generate up to 200 Singularities, using the already titanic energies of the first space time and be collapsed into a host more, giving the ship insane power generation but is only used in the most direst of emergencies. Creating anymore than 200 strains the containment to breaking point and the past has seen incidents of such ships being consumed by their own cores after their reactor containment fields have failed.

Electronic capabilities: The Ur'Acle runs a Nakai QAI with total mind link capabilities in order for its crew or captain to link with it, any genetic descendant of the Nakai (Humans, Cylaurians, Elsi) can also link with the ship and pilot it if need be. The AI and the mind of the captain essentially become one when connected allowing free flow of information and even emotions. QAIs are capable of experiencing emotions just like living beings and so when emotions are in sync the ship can operate just like the pilot, meaning the pilot essentially makes the ship an extension of its own body, giving unparalleled reaction times and processing power from any lesser race system. So far any and all efforts to understand or hack QAIs have failed spectacularly, however the Nakai do not typically hack their opponents ships, however they have demonstrated the complete ability to brute force hack themselves into all Union systems. 

The Ur'Acle can also store VAST amounts of information on levels where one ship can contain the complete sum collective knowledge and understanding of millions of lesser races along with plenty of other data space to spare. It uses dedicated Athenite databases located in pocket dimensions to store this data, and the critical/classified data is stored on the very event horizon of minature black holes, the information being merely dumped into such, stored on the event horizon and then 'read off' via the black holes hawking radiation. As the Ur'Acle was designed for this role its firewalls and cyberwarfare capability is unrivalled, taking the entire GCF to crack them against lesser races the Ur'Acle could likely hack the entirety of a smaller faction without any effort in one giant cyber attack.

Crew: The Ur'Acle is unlike other Nakai craft operated by a large crew of 750 Nakai. However the ship can operate with less or even with no crew at all with the AI taking over completely. Together they operate the ship with the QAI and keep things running. One is designated the controller, a captain who links with the ship in order to run things smoother. The ship can also be used with its dimensional technology to theoretically carry thousands if needed.

Attack craft: The Ur'Acle mounts 20 Quantum Molecular Assembler Units found on the Or'Keres. Far surpassing the matter conversion and nanomolecular construction units of the lesser races these assemblers can essentially create Ar'Teth Interceptors and Nov'Raka bombers out of pure energy from nowhere, allowing the Ur'Acle to make swarms of thousands of attack craft to overwhelm their foes. The assembler units can also create Spearhead drones for the same purpose however the most impressive feature of the Ur'Acle is that it can focus all of its assembler units energy into one unit and create Or'Xa corvettes at a rate of 1 every 2 minutes, although it can only create around 4 at any one time in succession it can help top up a Nakai fleet in combat or give them instant reinforcements on the field of battle.

Speed and Engines: The Ur'Acle is equipped with Nakai pocket dimension jump drive tech which works by artificially creating an pocket dimension in the void between universes, which the ship jumps to, then it re plots the desired location in any dimension or universe to jump to before jumping back to that exact plotted location. This is 100% accurate and only takes around 6 seconds though the energy requirements are huge. Normally the Library ship uses its normal sub-light engines to travel at speeds beyond what conventional cruisers travel at.
