United Federation Warships

"I have to give them credit, while they fight for their territory with almost fanaticism their ships cannot stand up to equivalents... Even outnumbering some enemies their vessels fail to inflict any real damage. Thankfully our upgrade programs are in place, just like the other sub factions have done... Relic Class Dreadnought: The largest warship in the entire United Federation. The Relic class dreadnought is a massive 19km long and packed full of armour and weapons. Only a few were constructed, the precise number however is shrouded in secrecy, each was constructed in a secret location under the direct orders of the Senate. Armed to the teeth with weaponry and able to deploy hundreds of supporting Strike craft the Relic is itself a fleet. One was deployed during the X fuel wars resulting in total victory for the United Federation wherever it was deployed. During the Civil war however these ships ended up on different sides, with one or two belonging to each of the factions. The Relic was the only ship of the war to truly hold its own against non United Federation vessels and only because of its overbearing fire power and thick armour plating. The Relic has since been upgraded by the various factions and typically acts as a flagship and line breaker whenever deployed.

Raider Class Battleship: The Raider class battleship is the Federations largest warship save for the rare Relic class dreadnoughts. 9km in length these battles are very fast for their size, thanks to their X fuel engines they can outpace most other battleships and have led some other factions to designate them as fast battleships. Armed with railguns and X fuel enhanced missiles Raider class battleships led the Federation to victor in the X fuel wars and during the Rheniean subjugation as well. However when encountering the other factions of the galaxy during the civil war the Raider was not up to the task. With its titisteel armour being like paper and its shields puny in comparison the battleship was easily shredded by enemy fire. With its weaponry unable to do meaningful damage in return like most United Federation vessels it was unable to contend. While many of the other factions upgraded their fleets to be able to engage others the United Federation and the Raider is now waiting to see if the Nuclean Ecumene will upgrade their fleet as well.

Titan Class Heavy Battleship: With upgraded shields, armour and additional weaponry the Titan class was the Federations principle heavy hitter outside the Relic class. Able to hold its own in a fight and use overwhelming fire to fend off enemy ships the Titan fared little better during the civil war. While lasting longer than the Raider class the Titan was unable to go toe to toe with enemy warships, however the Titan class did record kills against enemy cruisers or smaller vessels with its heavy firepower.

Spartan Class Super Carrier: Built on the hull of the Attaya Battlecruiser the Spartan stripped out most of its armament to instead carry large hangar bays capable of launching up to 2000 F-42 Cobra Fighter-Bombers, while still capable of holding its own in combat the Spartan was designed to hang back and also give flak support to the fleet, while its attack craft engaged and destroyed enemy craft or ships. While all United Federation ships carry some kind of fighter support the Spartan has the largest capacity. Sadly during the Civil war the F-42 was unable to effectively engage enemy strikecraft, leaving the Spartan as a dead weight addition to their fleets, with their attack craft easily destroyed the Spartans could only retreat or be destroyed themselves.

Attaya Class Battlecruiser: Far more common than the Raider class battleship the Attaya was designed to be able to get in and out to hit key enemy forces and break through their flanks, allowing heavy units to mop up the rest. Heavily armed for its size but not carrying much in the way of defences the Attaya is a fast vessel for its class. Able to keep pace with cruisers and smaller craft. During the X Fuel wars these ships proved invaluable, raiding enemy X fuel convoys and stockpiles, and preventing the enemies crucial development of their own X bomb.

Wolf Class Cruiser: The mainstay of the United Federation fleet, the Wolf class  cruiser matches all round firepower, with speed and armour. Able to outpace enemy vessels before destroying them with its weaponry the Wolf class also carries a strike craft complement. Able to act independently the Wolf class often can be seen patrolling the Federation border. Active in all wars since it was designed the Wolf Class did get recorded kills during the Civil war against non Federation forces. Able to gang up and destroy larger vessels however the Wolf class losses were staggeringly high, however many factions have since upgraded the Wolf to be able to hold its own with advanced technology.

Omega Class Carrier: Built on the Wolf class the Omega is the Federations primary carrier, working with Wolf class cruisers it can carry up to 750 strike craft. With reduced armament the Omega usually gives fire support while its fighters get to work. Covered by Wolf class or even Fox class as escorts the Omegas usually dont get into the fight, however they do possess some fire capabilities, but not enough to pit them against a dedicated warship.

Fox Class Blockade Runner: The smallest ship of the United Federation fleet, the Fox class is designed for speed. Dubbed blockade runner for its ability to quickly get X fuel in and out of enemy blockades during the X fuel wars its proved to be a reliable ship for its class. While only armed with light armament it is able to go against enemy escorts, and while the Fox class proved useless in combat during the Civil war it did manage to ferry civilians and high ranking officials between systems using its incredible speed.
